Q&A with Tash Symons: Introducing Reformer 45

How long have you been practicing as a Pilates Instructor?

I completed my Pilates training through Breathe Education Australia in 2020 and have been teaching ever since. My passion for Pilates was sparked after sustaining an injury while playing football (Aussie Rules) that caused chronic pain. After being told by a medical professional to limit movement and exercise until the pain subsided, I was left deflated. It was in this time I discovered Pilates and after 4 weeks of consistent training I became pain free. This strengthened my understanding that movement truly is medicine and the Reformer is a great tool for both injury prevention and rehabilitation. So whether you’re after a therapeutic modality or in need of a burning workout, Pilates has you covered.

What additional training have you completed on top of your Pilates certification?

I originally completed a bachelor’s degree in Sport and Exercise Science and then went on to complete a Master’s in Clinical Exercise Physiology. These degrees have allowed me to have a deeper understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the human body when treating clients with acute and chronic health issues. I have also recently completed additional professional development in Women’s Health, completing Pre and Postnatal Exercise Specialization so I can better support my clients.

How does your additional training help you as an instructor?

My clinical background allows me to tailor classes to the client’s specific needs. I am passionate about injury prevention and building strength to assist in the pursuit of outdoor activities. Whether that’s correcting imbalances, recovering from an injury or improving general fitness, I have the knowledge and drive to fast track you towards your goals.

What can your clients expect from Reformer 45?

A 45 minute workout that is guaranteed to challenge your strength, endurance, balance and coordination. These fun dynamic workouts are exactly what you need to reignite your passion for movement.

Who is the ideal client for Reformer 45?

Anyone. Everyone. Pilates is non discriminatory. Any preconceived notion you have that Pilates isn’t for you, I hope I can change your mind.
